Air Fiber : New technology to access internet

Few years ago  hardly only few people had access of internet with very limited speed with which only browsing was possible. During that time no one had thought that someday every one will have access to internet with high speed ever. But because of growing technology of current generation with high pace, it is possible to have high speed internet with access of it spread every where and to every one.

Air fiber is product of only these innovative technology due to which internet access is possible in all rural, hilly places where optical fiber cable laying is not possible, feasible or is not cost effective. This new technology is of great importance in today's world where no one can think life with out internet. Now a days when Internet Of Things, Artificial Intelligence are playing role in our day to day work, it is extremely important to have this kind of technology to develop the all fields of country whether it is healthcare, education or infrastructure or administrative field. Any country can only develop when it's people get well education, well healthcare facilities and these are only possible with a reliable high speed communication infrastructure. OFC is one of the main source of media which transfers data from source to destination, but after certain point where OFC connectivity is not feasible Data has to be carried out with some other media. This is the place where Air Fiber plays an important role to transfer the data to desired destinations.

In this covid 19 pandemic when people going from metro cities to rural areas, they need high speed internet in rural areas where fiber connectivity is not present. Now a days when all industries growth slowed down, huge gap between demand and supply, leadership can not afford all employees employed till before pandemic, so they are cutting down employees number by significant amount. In this kind of situation a large number of unemployed people going back to their villages, small towns from where they came earlier to get job. So today the village population going higher and higher as was before few decades. But India still lack in telecom infrastructure if we talk about backward regions like villages,hilly area, north east area, regions affected with natural calamities where existing telecom infra has been collapsed. In these circumstances Air Fiber is of ultimate importance as alternative of existing or absent infrastructure of OFC or copper cable.

In Air fiber service, internet backbone is connected to Telephone exchange or mobile tower through Internet Service Provider's fiber infrastructure. Then internet (radio waves) gets transmitted from dish antenna at mobile tower to consumer place so a point to point connection gets established between base station and consumer.

Bharat Air Fiber : This Air fiber service is launched by BSNL as a part of Digital India initiative. It's aim is to provide wireless connectivity up to range of  20 km from BSNL point of presence. Plan starts from 499 Rs. This service operates at unauctioned spectrum.
