How to crack GATE with out coaching

How did I get AIR 153 in GATE EC

Hello! my name is Jitendra and I got 153 rank in GATE 2020 EC Examination. I know it sounds difficult for any one but believe me my job helps me to get that rank. You might be thinking what am I talking but when you hear the reason you will be agreed with me.

So I am in Telecom field, kind of frustrating job, each day struggle of my job motivates me to study hard and get a job in research organization like ISRO, DRDO, BARC etc. and because of I had a job already I didn't had much pressure. So here are few tips which can help you to get good rank in GATE.

1) Don't get too deep in theory part. Read & understand theory once and make list of formulas simultaneously so that you will not be required to go through whole theory part again.

2) Once you finished one subject (prefer easy one first) then give that subject test and topic test.

    By the way I joined ace academy test series.

3) Similarly finish next subject & give subject & combo test of both subject.

4) follow same process until you complete all subjects.

5) Now Its time for mock test. You will be so excited at this time, but there is high chance you will get less marks but no problem.

Motive of giving test in any test series is not just to check your preparation but to get new formulae, new concept, to know new terms, even to know unknown topic that might have been missed while reading theory.

Giving tests will entertain to you (great relief from reading theory only)

In my case believe me I read 30% theory part while giving test by google those topics.

I got this rank while working in BSNL as JTO, so yes ! GATE can be cleared without coaching, with just self study. What I did is I joined ACE academy test series and given all tests so whenever new doubt comes on any topic, that topic cleared more and more. 

If you want to watch any YouTube lecture then follow that one which covers whole theory part with very less time.

How to start

You can start preparation with easy subject like for EC network analysis or control system then signal system, digital electronics, electronics devices, signal and systems, communication, EMT.

While preparing regularly visit iits and psu's website so that will not miss any vacancy.

If you are unable to solve any numerical don't be demoralised just think you are getting knowledge and this is your job by following this steps you will definitely get good rank.
